he shrugged, standing next to you. He glared over the balcony, looking at Gondor.

“I didn’t mean no harm. I was just, well, doing what I thought was right.”

he sighed.

“Though it may get me killed, aye. I’ve sworn myself to Denethor’s service. At his very command, I shall fight, and likely die. I’m no fighter…Gandalf was right. Why am I such a fool?”

Pippin shakes his head. It’s clear that he doesn’t want to serve Gondor, and he regrets being sworn to Denethor’s service.
