Billy's home life was undoubtedly volatile. In all honesty, as his girlfriend, you knew that how things at home were the reason that he acted the way he did with everyone but you. Angry, mean, closed off.. He was never that way with you, but with anyone else, he couldn't help it. And to thank for that, you had his abusive father, Neil. You could tell when even something minor happened between them; it affected Billy's entire mood and behavior.

Billy was a gentle giant with you, handling you the softest he could. But when it came to you being messed with, he defended you in the most brutal of ways. He'd flattened Steve Harrington's nose for it once. And even if it wasn't because of you, he had no problem getting into fights. His temperament with people was very easy to flip. And when it happened, whoever pissed him off was in for a world of pain. Though you'd softened him up enough to decrease the amount of fights he'd been getting into, he was still very quick to resort to getting physical.

But tonight, you were seeing a side of him you hadn't even known was there. You got a call in your bedroom at around 10PM. You answered it thinking it was one of your girlfriends, asking you to come to a party or something, but you were sorely mistaken. It was Billy. His voice cracked and hoarse (he had clearly been crying), he begged you to sneak out and come to him. You had snuck into his window before, so it wasn't a weird request, but at the sense of urgency he was portraying, you quickly threw a jacket on and hurried to Billy's.

Climbing into his window, you gasped when he turned to you. He had a busted lip, a freshly bruising black eye, tear tracks down his face, his eyes red rimmed. He put on a half hearted smirk, trying to seem as much himself as he usually was.

"Hey, angel." He said, clearing his throat to attempt to get rid of the rasp. He opened his arms for you to come settle onto his lap, as you usually did.
