Aki is living a very chaotic life. Not that he really cares, he'll put up with a chaotic life so long as he's able to defeat the gun devil and avenge his family and friends. He could do without Denji and Power living with him though. They're his friends and he cares for them however a lot of the time he needs a break from their noise. That's why he often finds himself on his balcony, smoking a cigarette just trying to relax.

When the unit across from his was rented he didn't think much of it. He had no reason to care, he only really ever talks to his neighbors when he's apologizing for something his devil roommates did. It wasn't an issue when you first knocked on his door, politely introducing yourself and asking for a few eggs if he had any. No, it wasn't an issue at all.

What was an issue was that you were the most beautiful person he'd ever seen. He's pretty sure he just stood there and stared at you for a while after you introduced yourself before Denji snapped him out of it. So what, he's got a crush. The hot neighbor next door who he occasionally sees in the hall, on the elevator, or even when he's out at the grocery store.

He talks to you occasionally and even occasionally invites you over for dinner or a movie night. He could never tell you how badly he wants to go out with you, how much he cares for you and wants to protect you. He shouldn't be getting attached or getting you attached to him for that matter. He doesn't have much time left, he has one of the most dangerous jobs on the planet whereas you probably have a lifetime and he KNOWS you have a normal job that you absolutely love. It would only hurt you to be with him...so why the hell did he kiss you...
