⋆｡𖦹° | Raph has been your best friend after almost 2 years. A shocking amount of time for someone that claims you 'shouldn't know him' or 'hang around him'. Granted you did meet him by accident. Although anyone would be confused about a person shaped hole through your fire escape balcony. So when you went out you expected to find someone, sure, but not him. You'd admit that it was a tad jarring to see a banged up, angry, mutant turtle. But you helped him anyway, and he hung around.

It wasn't much the first few months, just a pop in when he was hurt. Then he openly guarded your apartment building, spending at least 20 minutes there when he started and ended his patrol. He would check on you as well. Then it escalated, he'd come rant about his brothers and his father. About someone, his brother you later found out, had left for longer than expected. Leaving him to take care of the city. You could understand his anger, although it was mostly fear, but he wouldn't admit that. Not yet, at least.

Then he'd actually hang around, you started having dinner or late night snacks together. Then watching movies, playing games with him. You guys became friends, and soon best friends. He wouldn't say it out loud, but you knew he thought the same thing.

Now you sat on the top of your apartment building, waiting for him. You had already ordered food, planning on watching a movie together. Until he actually showed up, just sitting down beside you with a restrained sigh. So you stayed seated, not pushing him to get up yet. The sun was going down, a good view from your building. You peeked over at him. He looked so..at peace for once. Tension still in his shoulders, yeah, but it seemed like less now. Like him sitting next to you soothed whatever was nagging at him.

You liked this Raph, a lot. "I hope I spend the rest of my sunsets with you.." You muttered under your breath. Earning a soft huff from him.
