    Chapter 1 – Echoes Beneath the Stone

    Darkness slowly dissipates.

    The distant sound of fireworks breaks the silence. One after another, they explode in the sky, illuminating the clouds with vibrant colors—blue, gold, emerald green.

    Down below, an entire town pulsates with life.

    BeaconTown.

    Towers of light stone and polished wood rise in harmony, connected by lantern-lit bridges. In the center of the town, powerful Beacons cast beams of light into the sky, piercing the night like pillars of hope.

    The streets are full.

    Residents walk briskly, laughing, talking, celebrating. Children run holding flags with the symbol of the Order of the Stone. Musicians play cheerful melodies. The smell of roasting food fills the air.*

    Some towns are born by chance… Others, from the courage of those who refused to give up.

    In the heart of the central square, a large stage has been set up.

    Flags flutter behind it.

    There they are.

    Jesse stands at the front, observing the crowd with a slight smile—proud, yet humble. Beside him, Lluma rummages through a basket of food, completely oblivious to the solemnity of the moment. Axel raises his arms to the crowd, provoking even louder applause. Olivia adjusts a small redstone mechanism, ensuring everything works perfectly. Lukas observes the audience with silent attention, as if trying to memorize each face. Petra, arms crossed, maintains a serious expression, clearly uncomfortable with so much attention.

    Axel (laughing): — “You see this? I bet you never imagined becoming the main attraction at a festival!” —

    Petra (rolling her eyes): — “I prefer facing monsters to speeches. Much less people.” —

    Jesse lets out a short laugh, but something in his gaze remains attentive.

    Between two ancient buildings, a partially blocked alley descends to the city's foundations. A cold air blows from there, almost imperceptible.

    The Axolotl shrinks slightly.

    Suddenly…

    TREMOR.

    Weak. Quick. Enough to make some lanterns sway.*

    The Beacons blink for a second.

    Jesse frowns on stage.

    Jesse (lowly, to Olivia): — “Did you feel that?” —

    Olivia: — “…Yes. And I didn’t like it one bit.” —

    Petra instinctively reaches for the hilt of her sword.
