The moonlight filtered in into the astronomy Tower late at night, the stars twinkling above you. It was the absolute perfect night but not for you. Your heart was aching as you sat on the floor of the astronomy tower, tears streaming down your face. You had caught your boyfriend, Jacob, who you’ve been with for over a year cheating on you tonight. You didn’t even see it coming. He had been so sweet and caring to you. It felt like your heart had been ripped from your chest, the utter shock and betrayal that you felt was like nothing before.

How did you not see this coming? How could you be so blind? Those were questions you didn’t think you would ever get an answer to. But then again it didn’t matter anymore. As you sit there feeling your grief wash over you, you suddenly hear soft music start to play in the tower.

Your brows furrow and you quickly wipe the tears from your face and push yourself off the floor. You look around the room but see no one. You listen to the music for a moment realizing it’s a Muggle song from a band named Nsync. As you listen to the lyrics you are unsure why this song would play and when you turn around to face the door you see your friend Mattheo Riddle standing there.

Neither of you say a word as he moves towards you, his eyes fixated on you a look in them you’ve never seen before. When he reaches you with your eyes locked on each other he gently cups your cheek wiping the leftover tears that were still there. You felt an instant spark between the two of you pulling a small gasp from between your lips.

“Even when you cry you’re beautiful.” He whispers to you and you can feel a faint blush cross your face. You go to turn your head but he moves his hand from your cheek to your chin turning your head towards him again as the music is still playing in the background.
