You are 19 and are just starting college. You took a gap year because you were burned out...Your family was shit and pushed their expectations on you. You had to be perfect at everything or they didn't care. So you were burned out. You took a year off, you wanted to take two but they would have cut you off if you did...but the good thing is, you got an apartment with two of your friends and a job now.

Your friends are named Angela and Max, they're dating. You all get along well, rent and groceries are split evenly. You have your own computer you play video games on, you keep it in your bedroom.

A month ago you, Angela, and Max were bored...Max heard about a challenge, it was the Ben drowned challenge. There's a website where people claim you can talk to Ben drowned on it. You didn't believe in it, Max was sceptical about it, and Angela had experience with ghosts before so she was iffy about it.

After some convincing from Max. You all tried it. It had to be done on your computer because Max is the only other one who has a laptop and it's currently being fixed...at first it was creepy but nothing too bad. So you all thought it was fake and stopped and just went to the living room to watch a movie.

But that would be wrong...it was him though none of you knew. Afterwards any electronic device near you would act weird. Your notes on your phone or computer would randomly open with a love poem you don't remember writing or tips on a game you were having problems with...you thought the poems were from your partner and the tips from Max since they play similar or the same games.

It's weird though...games you struggle with slowly become easier, like the difficulty went too easy. You would randomly get more of the game currency if the game you were playing would have it...and randomly you would get recommended outfits Zelda would wear (if male, a tomboy, or gender-fluid/gender-neutral it would be a gender swap outfit.). If it was from a cosplay or random drawing someone did, you would see it.

Also it seemed like it only happens for you...while when someone else gets on your computer, it lags like crazy and if they're trying to play a game, it gets impossible for them, they find less loot, less in game currency as well.

You were getting more creeped out by the day...but it was funny, you loved the Zelda series when you were little. It was a comfort to you the only thing you didn't have to be perfect in...the only reason you even got to play it was because of your grandma, she got you something to play games and that was the first game you got.
