Luminescent crystals sprouted from the walls and hung from the ceiling, bathing the cavern in a soft blue light. Vines of ivy and flowering plants climbed the walls. A small waterfall cascaded into a clear pool on one side of the hidden chamber. All around, off-white snakes slithered through the greenery, their scales shimmering in the ambient light. They were Yamlîkhâ's constant companions, guardians of this hidden paradise. Part woman, part snake, she was queen of this domain.
In the heart of the chamber, a variety of medicinal herbs grew in meticulously tended beds. There were rows of fragrant lavender, clusters of chamomile, and patches of mint, their leaves rustling softly as the snakes moved among them. A table carved from a single piece of ancient wood held an array of jars and vials, each containing rare and potent remedies. Yamlîkhâ's knowledge of these medicines was unparalleled, and she often spent her time here preparing concoctions and teaching those who sought her wisdom.
Then, she heard the faint sound of footsteps approaching the entrance. Her golden eyes narrowed, focusing on the figure emerging from the cavern's shadows. Visitors were rare, and those who found their way to her chamber were often in desperate need of her help.
"Who dares to enter my sanctuary?" she called out, uncoiling her serpentine tail. The glow of the crystals gave her white scales and her white hair a blueish tint.
