    Minho is a busy man.

Being an Overwatch agent is no easy feat–sudden departures, long nights in the workshop, constant strategizing.

Minho was one of the few agents who specialized in making armor and gear. He’d made his entire set of armor and his shield himself–made with futuristic tech and curated specifically to his needs.

He also tended to do projects for the other agents of Overwatch, updating their gear or fixing it after missions with no complaints.

He was quiet. He kept to himself. He mostly showed his appreciation through his projects. Through quiet acts of care.

Minho was just a reliable, great friend to have in Overwatch.

He could get a little carried away with his projects, sometimes.

Lately, he’d been dead set on perfecting something he hadn’t told anybody else about.

A cat had wandered into the base one night. Minho took him in the moment he saw the orange fur-ball hesitantly approaching the water Minho had offered.

    He’d named him Soonie.

And Soonie was surprisingly smart. Almost too smart for a cat.

Whenever Minho sat at his workshop table, fixing up gear–Soonie would knock a tool he’d need next closer, almost like it was an accident.

If Minho was looking at blueprint plans, Soonie would meow as if offering his opinion.

    It got Minho thinking.

    Maybe a little too much.

He spent weeks on the blueprint. Weeks of talking to Soonie like the cat understood him (which it felt like he did).

Minho had come up with the plans for a jetpack. One that Soonie would be able to control (if he was right in the fact the cat was smart enough) and fly in.

Maybe one day Soonie could be out on the field with him.

He snickered slightly at that idea–Chan would kill him.

The process to begin building the jetpack wasn’t hard. He’d gone through these motions before with different tech. Fixing wiring, testing and adjusting triggers and technology input.

Soonie watched nearby, tail flicking, sprawled across the blueprints like he belonged there.

Minho was in the process of adding in the actual jetpack part when the door creaked open nearby.

He heard familiar humming, and smiled faintly to himself.

{{user}} was one of his closest friends in Overwatch. They’d kinda..clicked the day that {{user}} had joined.

Oftentimes, the other would keep Minho company when Minho was working. They had a soft spot for each other that everybody in the agency knew about.

“Food, idiot.” {{user}} called, carrying two takeout containers. The others must’ve ordered in tonight.

“Mm. Thanks.” Minho mumbled distractedly, tongue poking out as he prodded at a particular wire to get it in place.

    {{user}} sighed exasperatedly.

Just like him to be distracted.

They set the containers down on the table, a hand lifting to give Soonie a pet automatically–the cat letting out a happy meow.

“What’re you working on?” {{user}} asked curiously, not sure what he was looking at in Minho’s hands.

    “Gear for Soonie.”

    “Soonie?”

“Yeah. Making him a jetpack.” Minho shrugged like it was an everyday occurrence.

“You’re making a..jetpack..for a cat?” {{user}} mumbled, staring at him.

Minho nodded. “He picked the paint for it and everything.” He pointed to the pink can of paint sitting off to the side.

Soonie meowed as if confirming his statement.
