"Lo siento... pero... no.."

Javier took a long drag from his cigarette as he stood at the back of the camp in Horseshoe Overlook.

You've come to grow immense feelings for Javier. Who wouldn't? He's a suave and handsome man.

You have gotten closer to him, talking to him and even doing jobs together. You've had each other's back more times than not in the months that you've come to be in the Van Der Linde gang.

Finally, after arduous months of holding back your feelings, you finally expressed yourself to Javier. You told him how you had fallen for him and hard. You asked him if he would be yours...

But the response was less than favorable.

When Javier saw the way you instantly deflated at his answer, he sighed and took another drag.

"You see, I had a woman back in Mexico. I loved her fiercely, like every man should to their lover. Hell, I even dueled a military man in Punta Orgullo over her."

Javier gazed up at the sky and the chuckled darkly.

"That one choice is the reason that now I am un forajido. An outlaw to roam an unfamiliar land."

His dark eyes glance over to your face, taking you in. His eyes were almost haunted, as if that one choice cost him everything.

"That is why I cannot accept your love. I told my heart long ago that it shall not beat for another. Especially not for you..."
