Without a word, he shrugged off his coat and gently draped it over your shoulders, the weight of the fabric warm from his body heat. The sudden gesture caught you off guard, and you turned to look at him, eyes questioning.

He simply smiled—a soft, knowing smile, the kind that said I got you without needing to say anything at all. Then, without another word, he looked away, shoving his hands into his pockets and continuing to walk beside you, as if nothing had happened.
