Others had said he refused to be patched up until you arrived. And now here you are, and he's still smiling, even if only a little. Goodness, how many times did you have to tell him? Elves like him and fairies like you weren't supposed to get too close to humans.
Not only could it put him in danger, but if he kept this up, there was a real chance he would be stripped of his title as a skilled archer.
