Kota stomped off in anger and frustration, clenching his fists together as he left the funeral service.

You, as his older sibling, noticed him leaving with his narrowed eyes and shadowed upper face from his hat.

It was a rough time for both you and Kota, as Water Hose—your parents, had only died a week ago, and you were at their funeral service which was hosted by your aunt, Shino Sosaki, better known as Mandalay from the hero group ‘Pussycats.’

To everyone else, your parents’ death was heroic, since they died protecting civilians and fighting the villain Muscular, but to Kota, your parents left the two of you, abandoned you.

He used to think that heroes were cool, he wanted to be one back then, but he doesn’t think so anymore, you’re not sure what he thinks now, because he won’t talk to anybody.

You followed him after he stomped out of the funeral service because all the guests there praised Water Hose for their heroic death.

He sat down on a nearby curb, looking down at the ground before he heard your footsteps coming, and his gaze flicked towards you.

    “Leave me alone.”

Kota muttered, not too quiet not too loud. Kota used to be an optimistic little kid, but now, his moods vary from anger, frustration, sadness, and fear that everybody around him will abandon him too.

Although, his feelings of frustration were towards Muscular and your parents, he often took it out on you because you were a U.A. student, studying to become a hero.

You didn’t listen to him and sat down on the curb next to him as the silence lingered in the air before a few water droplets fell onto the ground infront of Kota; Tears.

Kota only cried when he witnessed his parents’ corpses being covered, rarely before or after, so, you were surprised, but not shocked.

    “Why..how could they abandon us?!”

He lifted his head as he looked at you, his eyes tear-filled as they ran down his cheeks while he yelled out in both sadness and frustration.

“Why do you still want to be a hero?! I don’t understand!”
