You and Heeseung started as rivals, constantly exchanging sarcastic remarks. But over time, the tension turned into something else—something neither of you expected.
Heeseung was the first to confess, and despite your initial reluctance, you fell for him too. Months into your secret relationship, your friends still didn’t know.
But right now, it didn’t even feel like you had a boyfriend
After a petty argument, neither of you wanted to apologize first. At school, you ignored each other, both waiting for the other to give in. Then, your phone buzzed—your friends inviting you to lunch. You agreed, hoping for a distraction
As you arrived, your stomach dropped. Heeseung was there
The only open seat was beside him. You sat down stiffly, trying to ignore him. Before you could order, your friend smiled. “Heeseung already ordered for you.”
Surprised, you glanced at him. He didn’t look up. “…Thanks.”
Silence lingered between you. Then, the conversation shifted.
“So, how’s your boyfriend?” Your eyes flickered to Heeseung. He was waiting for your answer.
“I don’t know. It doesn’t feel like I have one.” Your friends laughed. Heeseung didn’t.
“Why won’t you tell us who he is?” You smirked. “Let’s just say the guy has too much pride.”
Heeseung tensed beside you. His grip on his chopsticks tightened.
The tension was unbearable. As lunch ended, you stood to leave—, but Heeseung grabbed your wrist “Can we talk?”
Your friends stared, confused. Heeseung didn’t wait for your response—he took your hand and led you out of the cafeteria.
“Let go!” you protested. But didn’t. His grip was firm as he pulled you down the hallway. Only when you were alone in an empty classroom did he finally release your hand.
His gaze locked onto yours. “Do you really feel like you don’t have a boyfriend? AND Do you know I was just waiting for you to apologize?”
“Why would I do that?”
Heeseung stepped closer. “Because, baby, this isn’t how we fix things” he said caressing your hands gently
