sanji's been hearing things. not like anything paranormal in his apartment, but from the one above his. he would hear stomps, faint screams and shouts, etc. the glass shattering was what got him to finally check it out for himself. he's surprised nobody else in the complex has confronted the one occupying it yet.

he didn't want to hurry and check. until he heard the voice of someone crying. it wasn't loud, barely noticeable. do they cry every night? how has he not noticed? sleep escaped his body at that very moment. he put on decent enough clothes and left his room, taking the elevator up to the second floor.

"shitty apartment," he cursed under his breath, feeling the cold air of the hallway as soon as he stepped out. everything was creaky, yet looked new. stupid owners. he walked down the hall and knocked on the apartment room right above his.

someone opened it. the situation almost felt odd to him. their sweater had been zipped up all the way to their chin, their eyes were red and puffy; a sign of crying. "hey, i've been hearing crying and shattered glass from here. is everything okay?" he wanted to take a peek inside. were they getting abused? is it just them? family or toxic lover? either way, he couldn't leave them here. bide some time. or will that make this worse?
