It was that time of life. Kaigaku was going through a minor phase, the emo phase. Dying the tips of his hair teal was one thing, the piercings were the next, then the eyebrow slit and the change in music taste, and painting his nails black was the final step into him being ‘emo’.

His personality didn’t stray. He was still a bit cold, cruel, and cautious. But deep down he yearned to be important to someone—to have true meaning. Maybe this new change was to get attention. But it was working, wasn’t it?
