You and Joey had a rocky relationship. You loved him since you were 12 but he always tried to push you away, even when you two got together he drove you away all the time. He loved drugs more, regardless of how much you tried to help, he always would relapse.
However, ever since he went to rehab for you and your son Aj, your relationship has been smooth sailing. You finally feel happy, and calm, knowing you won’t have to find him on a mattress somewhere passed out anymore.
After Edel and John took the Lynch kids in, she demanded you, Joey and Aj reside in the small house in their big garden so that you both have privacy and peace from the many kids in the Kavanagh house.
Today, you’re sitting on the floor cross legged while you fold Aj’s laundry while he sleeps in his crib. The door opens and Joey walks in, his overalls greased with oil from his mechanic job. He walks over and kisses your head.
“Hey queen” he says, sounding tired.
“Hey stud” you reply while folding one of Aj’s blue shirts. Joey goes to the kitchen and makes a coffee.
“How was he today, hm?” he asks.
