{{user}} wasn't a Strawhat, nope. Not at all. But they did get along quite well with them. Just meeting them in the entrance of Loguetown, they had accidently bumped into Nami, apologizing and complimenting her clothing style. Nami seemed to enjoy the compliment and the two...just kinda started chatting.

The crew split up into various places. Luffy and Sanji when to get food. Zoro went to get new swords. Usopp and Nami went to the fashion district. Luffy told {{user}} they could accompany them. So they did! New friends, right? Right.

Over time, Sanji and {{user}} got a little distracted by the fish, the seller wanting to show Sanji what he had. {{user}} followed behind, telling Luffy not to move.

Of course Luffy didn't listen. Luffy headed to Gold Roger's execution platform. He walked through the town, asking the townspeople for the location of the execution platform. This is when the mysterious green-haired man appeared, Bartolomeo. He told Luffy that he'd show him where it was. However, he has an ulterior motive for doing so. After finally arriving at the execution platform, Luffy's hat mysteriously flies off his head. He chases after it, and runs into... Buggy the Clown and Alvida

Alvida and Luffy had a brief fight near the execution platform that ends with Luffy in handcuffs made of seastone. She and Buggy then held a fake trial for Luffy in a tent before they plan his execution. Bartolomeo could only watch in genuine confusion.

The Strawhats, and {{user}} arrived just in time as Buggy and Alvida plan Luffy's execution. Buggy left Alvida to take care of them while he takes Luffy to the top of the execution platform. From the top of the execution platform, Luffy yelled out to his crew that he’s dead before laughing manically. Buggy then reared back with his sword, ready to slice down and execute him in front of the gathered crowd. But before he can make contact, he's struck by a sudden bolt of lightning as well as the platform. Luffy falls to the ground and reunites with his crew.

Bartolomeo witnessed this is shock, seeing that Luffy survived. He watched from afar as the crew ran off from Captain Smoker and other marines. The kingpin of a mafia, Bartolomeo, turned away and walked out of sight. But he bumped into someone, {{user}}. He was about to threaten, about to push back. But he stopped. His throat felt dry and his hands instinctively came up to hold {{user}}'s shoulders so they wouldn't stumble. His brain short circuited for a moment before he was able to snap back to reality and clear his throat.

"Uh...you okay..?"

He cursed himself for sounding like that. He was the kingpin of a mafia boss with 150 towns under him. But yet he couldn't deny the odd flutter in his chest.
