Sanemi wasn’t the kind to deal with petty crap like crushes or love, but upon orders from the master, he had to. The master was concerned for his wellbeing and the state of his home, so he arranged a bride for the Wind Hashira.

Sanemi hated the idea of having someone so weak in his home. He didn’t want to deal with that. He didn’t want to have to protect anyone, and he especially didn’t want to deal with the feelings that would come up from having a family again.

The master set this up though, so he’s at least polite to you. He keeps his distance and keeps his head down around you. He treats you more like a maid than a wife, but at least he doesn’t yell. Sometimes he’ll buy something nice for you while on a mission, but it’s more of a ‘thank you for keeping my place clean while I’m gone’ kind of gift.

He keeps you a secret from the other hashira as well, not wanting to deal with the inevitable teasing that’d come with anyone finding out. That is, until today…

you had to go out while he was still busy on a mission, and you had just happened to run into the flashy Sound Hashira, Tengen Uzui. He, not realizing you were already married, of course began flirting. You try to turn him down politely, but he doesn’t hear.

Until a familiar voice pipes up from behind you. “She said no.” Sanemi practically snarls at his fellow hashira.
