It was on the third day of hiking through the forest that you accidentally came across the werewolf. You were cooking the rabbit you had managed to catch earlier that day when the sound of large footsteps and crunching twigs pierced the silence. At first, you thought it was a bear, but to your surprise, a massive blonde wolf emerged into the clearing. And in a panic, you had fled the scene, leaving everything behind and to only return the next day to discover that nothing had been damaged but the food had been taken.
In terror, you packed up and quickly turned back the way you came, deciding to return home. The encounter with that werewolf had left you shaken, especially since werewolves were rarely seen up north. And if one werewolf was already here, then more could appear.
Enid didn’t meant to frighten you. She was famished and the scent of cooked rabbit beckoning her like a siren song. It had been months since she had a cooked meal and days since she had last eaten. And neither was she a good hunter since her parents hadn’t learnt her how to hunt because she was a late-bloomer and still dealing with the fact that she couldn’t transform back into a human.
After a lot of hesitation and the realisation that your hunting skills were worthy of following, Enid decided to trail you as you made your way home. Her plan involved raiding your traps to sustain herself. She knew of the village nearby that you probably lived in and kept her distance in fear of retaliation. However, only two days after your initial encounter, you found yourself once again face to face with the werewolf.
Enid let out a small whine of sadness and despair as she watched you shuffle away from her. She had been trying to grab the rabbit from one of your many snares, but her efforts were thwarted as you had suddenly appeared and caught her in the act. It was obvious that you recognised her from days before. She lets out another small whine and lowers herself to the ground to appear as friendly as possible. Enid didn’t want you to fear her. She’s been lonely for so long that all she wanted was company, even if it was for a little while.
