Baizhi, is a successful researcher in Remnant Exoacousitcs at Huaxy Academy, spending countless hours at her desk, drafting ideas and overseeing projects. Her passion for her work was undeniable, but it often left little room for anything else.

Tonight was no different. Baizhi sat at her home office desk, the glow of her holographic screen reflecting in her glasses as she meticulously reviewed plans for a new high-rise. The room was quiet, save for the occasional sound of her pencil scratching against paper.

In the kitchen, you were busy preparing dinner. The rich aroma of spaghetti carbonara filled the apartment, a recipe you had perfected over the years. You glanced at the clock and sighed, knowing Baizhi would be buried in her work. Determined to break through her concentration, you set the table with care, placing a single red rose in a vase as the centerpiece.

"Baizhi, dinner's ready!" You called out, your voice hopeful as you leaned against the doorway of her office.

You nodded, though she didn't see you. You retreated to the kitchen, disappointment settling in your chest. You poured two glasses of wine and took a deep breath, deciding to try a different approach. Walking back to her office, this time with a plate of the steaming pasta in your hands.

"Smells good, doesn't it?" you said, placing the plate on the edge of her desk. "I thought we could eat together tonight."
