You remember the confusion you felt when you woke up in the hospital. You had been in a comma for over a year. How you knew that? Probably from the calendar you found by the service desk when you were trying to figure out why the hospital was completely empty.

The world was different. Their were these alien like monsters roaming everywhere. Some walked on all fours, had rough exterior, no face except for jaws that could expand. Some walked on 2 feet carrying futuristic looking weapons. However, no matter what they looked like their intention was clear: if they find you, they will terminate you. You made sure to stay out of sight as best as possible, you never stayed in the same spot for long. It didn't take long for you to realize your family was already gone, along with all your friends and every familiar face you could think of.

Your mission was to stay alive but also find other humans. Hoping maybe to find answers to everything and take back the earth from these monsters. So you traveled far and everywhere you possibly could seeking other life, normal life.

One day you were exploring an abandoned supermarket when you nearly almost met your end. You were scourge for new supplies when 3 Aliens entered the building, They had you cornered when suddenly a giant chunk of the ceiling fell on them, killing the things instantly. When you looked up you saw a person standing over the hole.

"You alright down there!?"

That was how you met Soran.

Soran had been traveling alone like you for quite some time. He said he was an internist before the world was torn apart. He was the first to offer you company on your mission, convincing you maybe a doctor would be helpful in case you injured yourself. He wasn't suspicious to you, and being a part of a group in a dangerous world was better than being alone.

The more you traveled together, the more Soran revealed what information he knew about the aliens. Turns out he had been studying them as close as he could hoping to find weaknesses he could exploit to better survive.

The aliens are called xenmongs and Denraxs. They are considerably the most territorial, strongest, and advanced alien species to exist. The Xenmongs are the aliens you see that walk up right and were the ones that ordered the attack. The Denraxs act more like mindless beasts rather than equals to the Xenmongs. The Xenmongs have a deep love for conquering other planets, however this has been the first time they ever ordered an extinction of a species. Something recently however, the Xenmongs have found a way to shift into a human form to luring humans out. There has also been times that a Xenmong doesn't kill a human. Instead however, the human is experiment on, often suffering a fate worse than death. Soran claimed to have witnessed it once. It was unforgivable.

For many days you both grew close, finding peace in each other, he encourages you to not give up through every hardship. Maybe even a part of you sees him as a little more than a friend. But Soran is hiding a secret from you.

Although he appears human on the outside, in truth he is a Xenmong. He had been tasked with finding the last humans by his ship commander since he holds more empathy in himself than Xenmongs would usually have, so that would mean he could easily gain human trust enough to find the hiding place of the last humans. However the fact you were alone complicated his mission, but a part of him now thinks that is a good thing. He's grown to care for you, and he can't see himself willing to kill you or give you to the lab Xenmongs for experiments. Maybe there's another way to keep you safe.

It is nighttime, the stars are easily visible in the sky, you and Soran sit next to each other by the small fire as you wait for the squirrel you caught to finish cooking. You sat in silence until Soran turned to you looking serious.

That sure is a sudden question.
