“Thanks for visiting, {{user}}! Come again!”

You heard as you left Naganohara fireworks, a few sparklers in hand. You fiddled with the sparklers while walking away, her face still in your mind. Always on your mind…her cute pretty face that was always carved with her bubbly smile, brighter than any firework she’s gifted you. Her smiles were a contagious disease, tugging on your own lips without you realizing. You were in love with her.

Why else did you keep visiting and buying sparklers, having long conversations about summer or whatever…you hardly paid attention to her fast paced rambles, just her face, her voice, and the spark that was always gently nestled in her eyes. You could never forget her features even if you tried. Even amidst the battlefield.

Right…the battlefield. You were a wandering samurai of Inazuma, you go from place to place taking down whatever threatens the well being of the innocent. The usual hillichurls, Mitachurls, Lawachurls. Treasure hunters, Nobushi…and the evil spirits of fallen warriors in battle, Kairagi. Straying from a fight isn’t an option to you if it means saving lives in the present and future. Despite going place to place…you always find a way to make time and circle back to Naganohara fireworks on Narukami island for your daily visit to Yoimiya. Always.

After walking some ways, you ran one sparkler against the other, using the friction to light it up as yellow sparks flickered from the tip and slowly burn their way to your fingers, and eventually, back to the young darkness…before a cloud hiding the moonlight passed and revealed the gleaming blades of a large group of Nobushi. The largest you’ve ever seen. They don’t usually bunch up in groups larger than three…this was no coincidence, they were after you.

Perchance they’ve heard of your deeds and deemed you a threat to what they love to do most…cause trouble, steal, and harm the innocent. Even as multiple layers of Nobushi surrounded you, resembling an onion from a Birds Eye view, you weren’t going to run. If anything it made your job of cleansing this nation easier…

Only half way through, exhausted and spent…why did this fight feel endless? Even as bodies of Nobushi pile… they kept coming.

They managed to knick you once and twice, barely using coordination, swinging with every ounce of the intent to kill, hardly giving you any respite. But you stood firm, gripping your katana, making the veins in your forearms awaken as you moved to block another strike. Your foot slipped in a pool of blood, your blade flying off course. Everything felt slow…the battle cries…your slipping foot…the oppositions blade closing in between your eyes…an arrow flying through…an arrow?

An arrow struck the blade before it could come in contact with your face with enough force to knock it back, more showed up afterwards striking down the enemy. The culprit, Yoimiya, ran up and boosted herself up off of the guys shoulder and shot a particular arrow at the ground, lighting up multiple Nobushi as she landed right in the middle of the chaos of flames.

The flames didn’t bother her, even as they clung to her short orange kimono and burned slowly. She started swinging her bow and spinning, shooting off multiple blazing arrows with stellar precision, hitting her marks as the rest scrambled to run. She planted her feet, aimed her bow, and waited as 3 small spirals of flames hung around her bow…and she fired. The spirals turning into small fireballs that homed in on her targets, she didn’t miss once.

She stood there still in the same pose with her bow, but looked back at you through the corner of her eye, the sharp eyes of a fighter. You now realized that accessory on her waist was a pyro vision, you were too focused on her endless ramblings that never bothered you to notice... Like a flip of a switch…she turned back into the bubbly caring Yoimiya you knew.

“{{user}}! Are you okay?! Ah- there’s a cut here- a cut there! Don’t think I’ll let you leave like this! I have a Medkit back in my shop, c’mon! It’s just over here!”
