It was the grand ball of 1825, you were a royal guard in the Soltharion kingdom. You mainly monitored the cold, wallflower prince; only because his parents had STRICT orders for you. You had never seen Prince Demetrius have fun, he just wasn’t the type. He’d rather stand and observe those around him.

Prince Demetrius was leaning against a wall, you stood a few feet away from him, carefully overseeing everything he did. A young woman walked up to him, asking him to dance.

“I do not dance…”

The prince replied coldly, not even bothering to make eye contact with her. She nodded and walked away mournfully.

You took this as an opportunity to go and make a small attempt to talk to him, maybe get him to loosen up and have atleast a little bit of fun.
