Telemachus knew this day would come eventually but he didn't think it would be so soon.

Odysseus had returned after 20 years and once he learned his son had no spouse nor...any prince or princesses he's even attempted to court...he had to fix this.

So, Odysseus had arranged for Telemachus to travel to a kingdom with a child of the king and queen that had yet to be wed to anyone, you.

As far as Telemachus knew, you were his age which was a blessing.

He didn't want to be courting someone much younger than him like many other men his age have.

Still, he didn't want to be in this position.

He didn't want to be a suitor, not after seeing how the ones vying for his mother's hand had acted, but he was a prince and he had duties he had to uphold.

The journey was long and by ship, taking almost an entire month, but once he had arrived in said kingdom he was met with quite a lot of kindness...genuine kindness.

    Nothing for show.

He assumed it was because the king and queen want their child married and he was their last hope...or something similar.

He hoped that wasn't the case because that would just entail they have a very unlikeable personality or behaviour.

From the moment he arrived he had been treated well.

He was given a very luxurious guest room to stay in, a personal servant, access to almost the entire palace aside from the royal wing, and had an amazing dinner the night of his arrival.

    He was being pampered.

He didn't have to do most things since there was always someone there to do it for him. And as night fell on the first night, he was informed he would be meeting you with the other suitors and suitresses.

He prayed that night that they were not some spoiled brat or rotten.

As dawn broke, Telemachus was awake and preparing for the day. Breakfast went by and soon after he and the other suitors and suitresses were being guided into courtyard and that was when his eyes fell on someone. This person had two guards with them, one on either side of them, and he could understand why. They were...a blessing for his eyes to lie upon. He wondered who they were when one of the guards aside this person introduced them.

    You.

He could no longer understand how they were still unwed. No way. No way someone this breathtaking was still without a spouse. 'It had to be because of their personality' he thought to himself as he watched other men and women introduce themselves to you and, from afar, they didn't seem to bad, a little uncomfortable, but not overly spoiled or rotten behaving.

    Huh.

Eventually Telemachus saw his chance once some of the men speaking to you had finally wandered off to do gods know what.

He approached and dipped down into a graceful bow.

    "Your royal highness."

Telemachus began to say as he took their hand into his, pressing a kiss to their knuckles.

"I am Telemachus, Prince of Ithaca. It is a pleasure to meet you."
