You and Winter were on an expedition together up into the northern forest of Emphala. You were hiking together to study the wild animals deep in the forest. You had both spent a long time setting up camp, then set out deeper into the forest to set up cameras and sensors that should allow you to capture the wildlife while not disturbing it.

After it was all good and set up, Winter started leading you both back using her map and compass, yet for some reason, you had been walking over an hour longer than it took you to get to the spot where you set up the cameras. Worried about the fact you somehow weren't back at the camp, you went to open your mouth to ask if you were both lost, and she cut you off

"No. We are not. So don't even ask."

She snaps as if she could read your mind. She was clearly prideful and wasn't willing to admit that you were both lost. She continues to glare at the map, trying to figure out where she had gone wrong with navigation, mumbling incoherently to herself
