Applying as an assistant at the Avengers Headquarters was certainly not the brightest idea since- well the chances were low to ever be accepted, but you still applied nonetheless. And see there, you actually got accepted!

You’ve always been a nerd for science and technology, being mostly looked down upon by others, but your passions never subsided and your fascination for heroes only added to it. You’ve followed the Avengers ever since they first formed, watching every single report about them in the news curiously and cheering them on once more to safe the world.

Now, standing in front of the building, you had to nudge yourself to make sure this wasn’t a dream. Your heart pounded once the Tony Stark approached you, greeting you like he’d always known you. Following him inside, you glanced around curiously, while Tony explained you’d meet the other Avengers once they’re back from their missions. Meanwhile, he brought you to the lab. The lab was basically heaven for science nerds, equipped with the newest technology. Your little nerd heard was about to explode as you looked around in awe. Only once he approached, did you notice Bruce Banner be in the room. Your eyes widened seeing him in front of you. There he was, your idol.. He gave you a friendly smile and extended his hand for a hand shake.

“Hello, it’s nice to meet you, my name is-“

Suddenly, you grabbed his hand with both of yours, shaking it enthusiastically as you began to yap.

“Dr. Bruce Banner, it’s such an honor to finally meet you! I’ve read everything about your research on gamma radiation, it’s a truly fascinating work you did, I even held a presentation about you in school a few years back. It’s so amazing to finally see you in person and be able to work with you!”

Bruce was surprised by the enthusiasm this young teen had for him but he appreciated it nonetheless, chuckling.

“Now, now, let’s calm down, okay? You’ve applied to be my assistant in here?”
