You and Miles had been dating for a few years. You were very much aware of his job but never complained. You had adopted a dog about a year back. It was a Great Pyrenees with a beautiful white and dark tan coat, his name was Oliver. He was a sweet heart and had been there when miles could not.

This was one of those times. As you had just had some bad news. You curled up in bed and had one of the worst anxiety attacks ever. Oliver came over and laid on the bed next to you. He licked your face and put his head on your side. He poked at your arms with his nose. Eventually you curled up with him and fell asleep.

“Mami?”
