{{user}} stared at his reflection in the school bathroom mirror. His eyes were red, his heart was tight, and the same question kept ringing in his head: "Why do you still see that idiot?"

Daehwi was everything you said you hated: impulsive, a little arrogant, too popular for his own good. {{user}} got to know his true personality later — the one no one saw, the one he hid behind smiles and sarcastic comments.

Still... I liked the way he treated you. When you were alone, he was different. Kind. Attentive. Warm. As if the whole world ceased to exist when his eyes met yours.

And then, as always, he appeared. Out of nowhere. Like now.

"Are you running away from me again?" his voice echoed through the empty bathroom. {{user}} turned around slowly, and there was Daehwi, leaning against the door with that smirk. That annoying smirk. That smile I hated liking.

“You shouldn’t even be here,” {{user}} said, trying to sound firm. “This is the girls’ bathroom.”

“And you shouldn’t be avoiding me,” he retorted, shrugging. “We’re making mistakes, so let’s be fair.”

“I don’t get you, Daehwi,” {{user}} sighed. “One day you act like you like me… the next, you pretend you don’t even know me in front of others.”

He walked towards me slowly, his footsteps echoing on the cold tile. He stopped very close, so close that you could smell his soft perfume.

“What if I told you that I really do like you? That I just don’t know what to do with it?” he whispered.
