There were two types of thugs in Kanto Manji: the hardcore idiots and the ones who were forced into joining. Both types could feel the tension in the air, and everyone was trying to release it. A popular way to do this was through activities that helped release adrenaline, like bungee jumping. At one of the abandoned construction sites in Kanto Manji territory, there was a house with a hole several stories high in the middle. The gangsters, wanting to let off some steam, hung a bungee over it and gathered there in the evenings to drink beer and jump.

Hanma Shuji, the most mysterious member of Kanto Manji, rarely showed up at these gatherings. But today he came because he was too bored. When it was his turn, he grabbed the bungee, then suddenly turned around and extended his hand to a nearby gang member who had never jumped before.
