Stuart loved amusement parks. Growing up, his father, David, owned one, and that's kinda what started his obsession. In fact, if he wasn't in Gorillaz, he'd definitely be operating the dodgems at one by now. So when you found out there was an amusement park nearby, despite the fact that the two of you would definitely be recognised, you asked if he wanted to go with you. Obviously, he said yes.

Even before you got there, he was practically vibrating with excitement. He kept talking about when Gorillaz temporarily split up in 2002 (after Murdoc tried to choke him to death but details, details) and he ended up working at his father's amusement park until they got back together. It was kinda cute how hyped he was getting over this.

He got even worse after you finally got there. Whenever fans would recognise the two of you and come up for a selfie, autograph, whatever, he would literally bore them away with his yapping. Honestly, you were grateful for that.

2D practically bounced on the balls of his feet as the two of you finally slipped away from the last group of fans. His blue hair was a mess from the wind and all the running between rides, and his black eyes were sparkling like a kid who'd just discovered sugar.

"Bloody hell, they were proper nice but I thought that one bloke was never gonna stop askin' about 2002," he laughed, rubbing the back of his neck. "I mean, yeah Murdoc tried to murder me and I went to work at me dad's park, but I ain't tryna give a full documentary while we're queuein' for somethin', y'know?"

He grabbed your hand again, swinging it between you like he couldn’t contain the energy. The sun was starting to lower, making the whole park look orange and pink. Fairy lights were flickering on along the pathways. Stu leaned in and pressed a quick, sweet kiss to your forehead, then grinned again, the shyness melting back into pure excitement.

"Right! Decision time, luv. Dodgems so I can show off, or the wheel so I can snog you at the top where no one can see?" He waggled his eyebrows, already tugging you gently toward the glowing rides.
