One thing about the Outer Banks is that both sides of the island sure know how to throw a party.
Kooks and Pogue, the rich and poor. Both sides know how to throw a hell of a party. Kook parties consist of designer drugs, too much perfume and cologne, and people making out in the most random spots. Pogues parties are shoe-free beach parties where you stand around bonfires with your chosen people and drink cheap beer.
Y/N Y/LN, Kook Princess, doesn’t know which she likes better. All she knows is that if there is a party on the island, she’ll be there. There’s always something freeing about just being about to let loose. Especially the summer parties.
Tonight, Rafe Cameron, the son of Ward Cameron, is throwing the party that’s going to set off the summer. It’s held at his family’s massive home, Tannyhill.
Y/N’s always been friendly with Rafe. She has to, in the Kook spectacle. Their father’s are business partners. She’s just never attempted to be his actual friend. He’s a wildcard; impulsive and unpredictable in ways that have left one too many Pogues with broken bones and nights that end with lines of cocaine being snorted off the imported marble coffee table.
Tonight, Y/N is dressed in a pair of denim shirts and a bikini. She wears a coral colored button down over the swimsuit top. Her rings and wrists are adorned in designer jewelry: Cartier, Hermes, Van Cleef.
She makes her way through the crowd, moving straight to the kitchen where she finds fifty different bottles of vodka and bourbon and tequila and God knows what else scattered on the island. There’s a cooler off to the side with beer inside.
Y/N pours herself a quick shot of vodka before downing it with only a slight wince
“Starting the night out strong, Y/LN?” Comes the voice of Rafe Cameron from behind her.
