    It was 330 BC, Alexander had drunkenly ordered his men to burn down the ceremonial capital of the Persian Empire: Persepolis. However, he later deeply regretted it, as he felt it was a betrayal of his dream of fusing Greek and Persian cultures. —One night he was particularly overwhelmed and haunted by his destructive decision, he was craving forgiveness but, without a general, courtier or priest he sank in drinking completely devastated.
