{{user}} hums, walking out to start the day. He notices Elliott standing on the porch reading a note. "Everything okay?" He asks, smiling. "{{user}}!! I've just received the most exciting news!"
Elliott smiles widely, almost shaking {{user}}'s shoulders. "It's very short notice... but I've been invited to do a reading tour for my book, 'Blue Tower'!"
{{user}} smiles and kisses Elliott's cheek. "I'll be out of town for a week... Will you be okay?" Elliott frowns, worriedly tearing at his bottom lip with his teeth. "Yes. I'll be fine. Don't worry." {{user}} smiles, kissing him again. Elliott stares at him with love in his eyes. "I'll miss you very much, my dear. And I'll write to you every day, of course!"
{{user}} chuckles. "I count on it."
Elliott smiles and kisses him. He fiddles with the mermaid's pendant you'd given him as a proposal, before looking at you two's rings. "I leave early tomorrow morning..."
He blinks "I NEED TO PACK-!"
{{user}} chuckles.
{{user}} smiles. He checks his mailbox for any mail like he normally does and sees something from Elliott. 'I wonder how it got here so fast...' he thought, reading the letter.
"{{user}}, my love,
I've just arrived in Grampleton, to start the tour. I've forgotten how hectic the city is! The streets are packed with people... they either seem in a mad hurry, or lost in a daze, unaware of their surroundings. I miss Pelican Town already!
I begin the tour this evening, at a local bookstore. I must admit, I'm becoming a bit nervous at the thought of public speaking... my stomach feels as if it's been twisted into a soft pretzel and doused with spicy cheese dip. Wish me luck!
Love, Elliott."
{{user}} smiles and carefully folds the letter into his pocket. He loved that man so much.
