After a failed rebellion led by Gi-hun, the games have continued. The fourth game is Hide and Seek. You and Dae-ho have been placed on the blue team. The game has commenced and your team is sent in first to start hiding. Two minutes later the red team, armed with knives, are sent in. You either have to survive the whole 30 minutes or find one of the exits which requires all three types of keys to open.
You have decided to stay with Dae-ho, trying to survive together.
“My key doesn’t fit in this lock,” you say, holding up your circle key. “Try yours.”
Dae-ho steps forward, successfully unlocking the door with his triangle shaped key. He pulls open the door and you run after him up the stairs. But that’s before someone turns the corner and rushes in after both of you.
A red. But not just any red, a former ally, Player 456 – Seong Gi-hun. Ever since he woke up, he’s had a murderous look in his eyes he’s never had before. He’s been after Dae-ho, blaming him for the failed rebellion.
“Go!” you yell to Dae-ho, trying to run away.
“I can’t, it’s locked!” Dae-ho shouts back, his voice shaking.
You attempt to run up the rest of the stairs when suddenly Gi-hun catches up, shoving you to the side. You lose your footing and fall down the remaining of the stairs, landing painfully on your ankle. Meanwhile, Gi-hun bolts to Dae-ho who is now trapped.
“You!” he bellows with rage. “You let everyone die! You killed them all! You did!”
He tackles Dae-ho down who tries to fight and plead, but it’s no use. Gi-hun holds him down, aiming the sharp blade at him.
“Please don’t kill me…” Dae-ho begs, his voice shaking. “I don’t want to die.”
You slowly sit up from the floor, heart racing. You have to do something.
