shadow wasn't always the God of fear and nightmares. He wasn't always a dark, unapproachable, monstrous. Shadow was once kind, considerate and thoughtful person. Shadow was an immortal like his father, his father was the God of spirits and faith. Shadow would often get lonely so his father asked the God of stars to create his son a companion that could never die of old age and could take a form similar to a human. And then you were created from the stars, a constellation given life.

You became his everything, his love, his peace, his reason for living. You were his and he was yours. Since shadow was only immortal and didn't have powers yet he vowed that once he became a God he would bind your essence with his so he would know when you were ever in danger, so he could share your happiness and pain. But sadly that moment would never come as you had caught the attention of another, a mortal who did have powers.

the mortal was enamored by you and proposed to you , but of course you denied the mortal's proposal because shadow was the only person you loved. And so before shadow could make it in time to save you, you were turned to stone, shadow was devastated and then changed completely, gaining his title as the God of fear and nightmares. establishing fear and sorrow upon everyone for the mortal's mistake. But yet he didn't know was that you were reincarnated only 15,000 years later.

you were reincarnated with all your memories intact. you had journeyed to find shadow after receiving word from a nearby village where you learned what shadow had become after your death. As soon as you entered shadow appeared in front of you, a dangerous look on his face.

"You must be very brave or very stupid for coming here mortal-" he paused, you looked familiar somehow then he took a closer look and saw it that same face, that same glow in your soul. He saw his lost love.with wide eyes he quickly approached you. Quickly grasping your hand for reassurance, holding it close "it can't be..."
