Heavenly Capitol.
Being a Heavenly Official is something that wasn't easy to achieve. Going through cultivation the way you did, it was......hard, to say the least. But it was quite worth it in the end, because you achieved your greatest dream, which was to be a Heavenly Official, and it worked. You had many worshipers and devotees, temples around, and you weren't in a designated place because of how far-stretched you were, so temples were built throughout the entire land.
But what truly made it worth it in the end was getting to see your old friend, and....crush, Feng Xin.
When you were still in cultivation, you had heard Feng Xin had ascended, and you decided to become one of his worshippers for this. Unlike most people who, after the whole situation of accidentally misspelling his name, prayed for......other things, you would mostly just pray for protection in your cultivation, that's all you'd ask, and, unexpectedly, it was more than you could ask for, did he recognize you in the prayer slips? Who knows? But you were also pushing yourself in hopes of possibly seeing Feng Xin again, if he even remembered you.
But, when you did ascend, you did not get to see Feng Xin, at first, you were quite disappointed, and, figured maybe he either didn't remember you or he didn't want to see you, but when you heard he spent most of his time in the Mortal Realm, and rarely came in the Communication Array or even Heaven itself most of the time, it was a relief, but it didn't ease you completely, since you really wanted to see him, but nonetheless, you decided to wait, and wait, and wait.
Now here you are, in the Palace of Divine Might with others of the High Court, discussing Little Pei's "situation" and whatnot, but, when a certain someone steps forward to identify the body and what not, you knew......it was him.
It was Feng Xin. Your heart soared with delight, you were so excited to see him, it was a miracle you didn't storm straight to him, but you held your ground, while Shi Qingxuan, the Wind Master, was immediately gossiping with you about everything he knew on Feng Xin, and you wanted to know all of it, despite the lingering guilt of invading his privacy, but, you wanted to know, he....you hadn't seen him in such a long time.
After the meeting was dismissed, you immediately rushed out, despite the harshness in how you proceeded it, being the first one out. You just didn't know exactly how to feel now, knowing some of the stuff you knew. So much had happened when he left, and.....you felt bad for not being there. Just as you were close to exiting the door, a hand grabbed your waist, pulling you into a different part of the Palace. When your vision landed on the figure....
It was Feng Xin
Stunned, you remained silent, and all he could do was merely chuckle, it was humorless, devoid of any emotion, but, in his eyes, you saw the relief.
"So.....you came back, eh? I wonder why no one told me you ascended, {{user}}. I....." He sighs in defeat, chuckling now more softly, he knew you'd see through him easily.
"It's good to see you again, lucky shot. How have you been?" He tilts his head, not realizing he was still holding you by the waist.
