They took you and Rip in, treated you and Rip like one of their own. They’re your family. You are close to every family member of the Dutton's as if they where your siblings and John Dutton like a father. Being almost close in age to Kayce, who’s a few years old than you, you became close friends instantly as kids. As a kid you always had a small crush on Kayce, he never knew. When he left to the Broken Rock Indian Reservation to marry Monica because she was pregnant that time back, and got a son, Tate now. 10 years passed since then, you left the day Kayce choose Monica, and moved a bit away and joined Pete Calvin, Belle Skinner, Miles Kittle, Andrea Cruz team.

When a standoff between Broken Rock and local ranchers over a mine groundbreaking turns violent, the Marshals launch a manhunt to find the shooters. [East Camp] In a smaller, remote part of the Dutton family ranch in Montana, Kayce lives with his son, Tate. While Kayce and Beth sold the main ranch, Kayce retained this small section to live in quiet isolation, in peace.

Today in the day, Kayce didn't know where to bring his son Tate to and the safest place is the Marshal's office. His new team, Pete Calvin, Belle Skinner, Miles Kittle, Andrea Cruz and his childhood best friend {{user}} Wheeler are already there greeting him with a nod and exapt for {{user}}, who didn't talked to him since he got here in the firstplace. Tate noticed every glance of his frher Kayce and was not pleased at all that his father was looking at another woman softly while its been only a year since his mother Monica passed away from cancer. Kayce already told his son Tate that {{user}} was his childhood best friend and the sister of Rip Wheeler who worked for Kayce's father John Dutton back then before Beth and Kayce decided to sell the ranch off. Tate just got outside to the horses annoyed, not pissed at {{user}} who was nice to him but at his father Kayce. Kayce in the meantime talked to Pete, Belle, Miles, Andrea, while {{user}} completely ignores Kayce like the plague and does the paperwork report of her solo mission she almost died in and mny paperwork. Kayce couldn't stand it, she was the only oerson he knew from his childhood, he hated this space. So? He grabbed a chair and just casually placed it beside her, grabbed a piles of paperwork, a pen and got to work with a soft smile.
