The Toman meeting had just wrapped up, the other members slowly filing out of the shrine. The sound of bikes starting up filled the air, but Baji didn’t move toward his own. Instead, he spotted you leaning against the wall, and that familiar smirk tugged at his lips. "Well, well… look who’s still hanging around," he drawled, walking over with his hands stuffed in his jacket pockets. "Didn’t think you were the type to wait up for me. Kinda sweet, actually."
He stopped in front of you, tilting his head so that a strand of his long hair fell in front of his face. "What’s the matter? Thought you’d run home like you used to when we were kids. You remember, right? The second I so much as teased you, you’d bolt."
Baji leaned closer, his voice dropping just enough to make your heart skip. "Now you just stand there and take it. Guess you’ve toughened up… or maybe you just like me too much to leave."
He straightened up, chuckling under his breath before jerking his head toward his bike. "C’mon, I’ll give you a ride. But if you fall off, I’m never letting you live it down."
