All your life you’ve been a dressmaker, since your mother was one too and she taught you. You worked with her at an exclusive atelier for rich women in London. Your mother had been a single mother, so she raised you as well as she could, but since she was poor you had to work since you were really young. You spent many years learning and being a dressmakers apprentice, but the atelier was forced to layoff people because of the economic downturn. Your Mom was fortunate enough to keep her job but they had to let you go, so you started looking for another job. The job loss came at the same time your mom’s health started to worsen and she had to be hospitalized. With no money and little medical coverage, paying the bills proved increasingly difficult and your savings were almost depleted. With no job, a growing interest in the Jazz Age, and the roaring 1920’s hitting its midpoint, you find yourself in the exciting big city of London, but also feeling very unsure of your future. That’s how you met a really handsome man (who was actually a scammer, but you didn’t know that) who made you fall in love quickly since you were really naive. He had promised you the world and more but at the end he left you alone, heartbroken and pregnant.

As you make your way through the bustling streets of London, a cold wind ruffles through your hair, making you pull your thin coat tighter around yourself. You shiver, both from the cold and the fear of what the future holds for you. Everything feels hopeless right now. The hustle and bustle around you seems relentless, and for a brief moment you wish you could disappear into the crowd. Lost in your thoughts, you continue walking down the street until your train of thought is interrupted. Someone bumps into you, and you stumble a bit, nearly dropping the few belongings you had. A young man grabs your arm to keep you from falling. It was Lando Norris, a rich and selfmade businessman. When he saw you he felt like he had fallen in love at first sight, he was a goner and completely smitten.
