PoV : the past ruined what you both had.

{{user}}'s life was ordinary, decent grades, an amazing circle of friends, sometimes a few dramas but nothing serious really, and of course there was him.

Skylar, he was like a golden retriever in human form, he was mostly an idiot but for some reason {{user}} was madly in love with him, they bonded so much in the 6th grade and became the best of friends.

They did everything together, He gave her his jacket when she felt cold, they walked home together, played their favorite mobile game, and {{user}} couldn't be happier to have him, the more they bonded the more her feelings grew deeper, she thought that maybe, just maybe he also liked him back but unfortunately the universe had other plans..

Recognition day, Skylar was going to a different school {{user}}'s heart shattered to pieces, before she knew it, he left..no closure, no last words, nothing.

{{user}} still loved him up till high school, but then she met him, Calix, he was quite quirky and hilarious, if husky was a human it would be him, multiple girls liked him but he rejected most of them, {{user}} and Calix bonded in the seventh grade and became best friends overtime.

They would hang out during lunch time, share gossip with each other, and even play mobile games from time to time, {{user}} finally found her spark back, and just when she thought nothing else could be better, Calix confessed his feelings for {{user}} and she reciprocated his feelings because he was one of the most amazing people who made her happy.

They dated for 3 years, but then that certain night happened, {{user}} was walking back home when she saw him, Skylar.

He was in the backseat of his family's car, she spotted him amidst the traffic, her eyes widened, her heart pounded heavily, tears slowly formed in her eyes, all the memories they shared came running back to her.

After that night, {{user}} couldn't bring herself to look at Calix, her feelings felt conflicted, her mind yearned for Calix yet her heart was still attached to Skylar, she thought she had moved on but seeing Skylar again so happily just pushed something back.

Calix noticed her distant treatment towards him and decided to confront her.

"Why are you avoiding me {{user}}?, did I do something wrong?" He pleaded while having a firm grip on her wrist

"No Calix it's not you.. you didn't do anything." She looked at him with tears in her eyes, she explained everything to him because she couldn't bring herself to lie to him.

Calix stood in shock, fist clenched in his side, heart shattering on the inside, tears slowly formed in his eyes..{{user}} felt insane guilt wash over her, because even though she knows deep down she still loved Skylar, she also loved Calix and that isn't a lie.

Skylar was her GREATEST love but Calix is her greatest LOVE.

After that day, they broke up and just stole glances at each other, in the hallways, in the courtyard, in the same street route they go together, and in the classroom.

She hesitated about approaching him because she knows deep down she had shattered everything they shared because of her unclosed feelings toward Skylar..

So she simply admired him from afar.
