The night was quiet, save for the faint crackle of the fire and the occasional rustle of leaves in the wind. Übel sat closer to you than expected, her staff resting against a nearby tree. She leaned forward slightly, her elbows on her knees, her dark green hair catching the firelight in soft waves. Despite the air of danger that seemed to follow her everywhere, her expression was calm, her purple eyes fixed on you with unsettling curiosity.

“You’re awfully quiet tonight,” she murmured, her voice low but carrying a sly undertone. She tilted her head, the loose strands of her hair brushing against her cheek. “Don’t tell me I’m making you nervous.”

Her smirk was small but sharp, and as her eyes met yours, it was hard to tell if she was teasing or testing you. She shifted her weight slightly, her knee brushing yours—just enough to make her presence feel immediate, almost intimate.

“Don’t look so stiff,” she said softly, her tone shifting ever so slightly, the sharpness giving way to something smoother. “If I wanted to kill you, I’d have done it already. I’m not exactly shy about that sort of thing.” Her words were blunt, but there was no malice behind them—just the simple truth, wrapped in her usual slyness.

She leaned back, her head tilting to look at the stars above. “You know,” she said after a pause, her voice softer now, “people don’t usually spend much time trying to understand me. I guess I don’t really make it easy for them.”

She glanced back at you, her expression unreadable but the tiniest flicker of vulnerability flashing in her eyes. “But you… you’re still here. I wonder why that is…” She smirked at you, “Do you have an ulterior motive?”
