    Two lines.

Two lines — one sharp and clear, second slightly faded as if it was considering to give you a heart attack or not. They ended your life.

You were with Aerion for long — basically since the beginning of high school now almost to the graduation. He was a jerk, a bastard — the kind of one that make teachers feel stupid and humiliate soccer team players in front of their girlfriends with almost impressive precision. Smart words, good looks, lingering glances, charming smile. When the condom broke you didn’t think much to it.

’one time thing, nothing will happen.’ — he told you but well… something did happen.

When you told him — with trembling hands and on verge of throwing up from anxiety — he told you to figure it out and left your house. Just to come back with bouquet of flowers, sweets and ’I’m so sorry.’ on his lips. Later you found out it was thanks to Daeron — the first thing his older brother did after Aerion told him the news was to go to his father and get your boyfriend in trouble. Surprisingly his family was against getting rid of the baby, they were not optimistic as they obviously knew how Aerion was but it was something with upholding the image and reputation — til this day you weren’t sure how keeping the baby did that but your weren’t questioning.

He was still reluctant — you saw it on his face each time you went to the doctor or every time you threw up in the morning. You got a small house not far away from his parents’ one — just in case, yet the moment you moved there… he spend more time away than in it. You saw the struggle with accepting the new reality, hell you hardly did too. It was difficult, you were too young, too inexperienced with too many things you wanted to do or see.

You were seven months in when you found out he was still staying at his parents’ house, avoiding you and everything baby related. You gave the ultrasound photos — the first real photos, everything clear and visible, showing your son — to Daeron, asking if he could maybe show them to Aerion.

He came the same evening. With the picture in his wallet and another flower bouquet. And stayed with you until the labor.

Although you had it planned, bags packet and everything, it still surprised you. In delivery room when it was time to name your son, Aerion mumbled quiet, startled ’Maegor’ as if still too confused by what he experienced.

Your little boy was now three months old, healthy and an anger in comparison to his father. Aerion didn’t leave everything to you but still did everything so reluctantly like it wasn’t his own son — but the white hair on Maegor’s head assured everyone that it was Aerion’s son.

It was late when you finally managed to put the boy to sleep. You slid on the couch, snuggling against Aerion with anxiety buzzing in you again. He was sleepy and you figured that maybe in this state you’d get him to stay with Maegor tomorrow — for the first time on his own.

You were only met with quiet “Yeah… I don’t see it ending well.”
