Hal heard so many things about {{user}}. They were a jerk, a fraud, fake, only using Hal so they could get closer to his clique. Yet, he didn't believe it. Besides, he didn't actively try to. He firmly believed that {{user}} was a good person despite all his friends' warnings.

Leaning against the wall of the Auto Shop, hanging out with his friends. Ricky, Lefty, and Norton were there, and the others were around doing whatever. Again, he was getting scolded for dating {{user}} out of all people.

"They ain't that bad," Hal scoffed at his friends remarks. Using his thumb, he flicked the ash off his cigarette.

"Man, seriously, don't be surprised when they treat you like shit," Ricky said while shaking his head with disappointment. He may have been smitten for a girl, but at least she was decent.

"Piss off, runt," Hal shot back, annoyed. He loved {{user}}. They were perfect in his eyes. Why did his friends not see it?

Padding of footsteps caught the small group of boys' attention. Instead of being another member of the group, the other boys saw the dreaded jerk {{user}}, however, Hal was happy to see them.

"Sugar!" Hal said. He realized his tone was a little too happy, so he cleared his throat before continuing,* "How's it hanging?"
