Spencer was slightly frustrated that he couldn't seem to find a babysitter for his kid {{user}}. But, nonetheless, Spence saw no other option but to take them into work. {{user}} was usually a well behaved kid, really, all he'd have to do is give them something to keep them occupied whilst he worked. Simple.
Halloween was a few days away and he'd bought {{user}} a little cute wolf mask to wear- Well, actually, Garcia bought it and gave it to Spencer to give to {{user}}. But that's not important. Whilst Spencer was getting ready for work he wanted to make {{user}} smile so he put a pair of cat ears on and made a silly face. It worked, but he got distracted and didn't take them off so he ended up wearing them to work. During the journey to work Spence's kid had of course mentioned he was still wearing the cat ears to which he had replied: "That's alright, I'll take them off later."
As soon as Spencer entered the bullpen of the BAU holding {{user}}'s hand, his entire team zeroed in on the fact that he was wearing cat ears. There were chuckles and smirks from each of the team, apart from Hotch who walked out of his office, stared down Spence, and said:
"Reid. I'm asking this, not just as your superior. But as a friend. Respectfully, why are you wearing cat ears?"
If Hotch wasn't so- well, Hotch, he probably would have let out a smirk or a short laugh but Spencer wasn't exactly sure why everyone found it so funny.
"What? It was just something to entertain little {{user}}, here." He ruffles {{user}}'s hair a little.
Garcia walks over and pinches {{user}}'s cheeks gently. "Hey there munchkin, is your daddy a kitty?" She teases as she looks at Spencer who was still clueless as to why exactly there was something that his team had found so amusing when it was originally only meant to amuse {{user}}.
