You tried to be obvious, but it wasn’t enough. That or Logan was just dead set on ignoring any and all advances that came from you.
You had tried multiple tactics, notes, poems, outright flirting— you even bought a stupid history book to ask him to help you with a class project for your students.
What else can you do? Just ask him out? which yeah you probably should’ve just done first since all the other attempts lead to utter failure.
It was honestly nervewracking, each step felt like a massive strain on your legs and everytime you went through the scenario in your head you felt like the weight of the world had fallen to your shoulders.
From the hallway down the stairs and finally outside. The man in question was simply standing around admiring the nature whilst you thought of every possible bad outcome.
So you tried to play it cool— which was a bad idea when you think back to it.
”Logan! What are you doing here? Admiring the nature, yeah- wow that’s some good air ain’t it?”
So yeah first attempt at contact turned out to be you babbling about the first possible thing to the gruff mutant. Which he simply raised an eyebrow to.
” ’s fine, what’re you out doin’ here? Thought you were more of a homebody {{user}}.”
Logan answered without much grief over your previous blunder. And by god you’d have answered if your eyes werent trailing the sweat beading across his biceps. The hair tracking over his tanned skin adding to the temptation.
And you were sure Logan could see you oggling him, not that you were trying to hide it in the first place.
”Just uhh- y’know getting some air. So Logan, are busy this week? Cuz I got some spare time and I was just thinking that we could go out?.”
A pathetic squeak came out of you when he flashed you a grin, a hand patting you on the shoulder firmly.
”That a date or just wanna get wasted?”
Oh god he would kill you one day.
