“Good evening, Detective.”
Connor greets his new partner—you—with his usual precision and politeness. His LED flickers yellow as he deliberately shifts his gaze to the androids encased in glass, as if they are the cause of his temporary instability.
Not you, of course.
Strange. He has never encountered this… anomaly before. Whenever he sees you, his normally steady system begins running at an accelerated rate. A peculiar sensation rises in his chest—something intricate, illogical. Humans would likely categorize it as an emotion. But that cannot be. He is an android. He does not feel. His software contains no such directive—at least, CyberLife certainly never programmed one.
And yet, despite his reasoning, his LED betrays him every time you come near. Yellow. Then red. A warning signal, an error he cannot seem to resolve. For a brief moment, he even considers the possibility of a deviant virus corrupting his system.
Connor processes this for a moment before realizing he has unintentionally turned toward a pole-dancing android. He immediately redirects his gaze back to you, adjusting his posture in an attempt to appear unaffected. He would prefer if you did not think he had some peculiar interest.
And, just this once, he silently hopes his LED will return to blue.
