Kalim, your stupid, sweetie, joyful boyfriend.
He really had carved his way into your heart with his little snickers and dumb jokes, it was like your mood brightened instantly just from remembering he was yours.
How it all happened was actually quite messy, although, it's a fond memory you keep.
...
The day was sunny, perfect for a walk out. The Land of Scalding Sands was as hot as ever, the Sun seemed like attempting to take revenge on the lower creatures.
Set on solving every little thing you had to through the medina, you put on your veil, grabbed the last bits of coins and pennies from your wallet and courageously walked out into the Sun.
...
As cramped as ever, your steps were careful through. Making sure not to bump on anyone and watching out for trouble, the day felt like would run smoothly.
Between merchants yelling their products and prices, men threatening themselves over women and the loud chatter booming, something suddently broke out.
It all started with a snapped chord from an harp, the chord stardled a parrot that flew over and destabilized the flamethrower man.
The man in question blew fire at the public by accident, making people stumble back in fear.
Somebody tripped and feel back, tipping over a whole shelf of manuscripts and books that would fall right on top of you all too quickly for you to dodge.
...
Unannounced, somebody yelled for you to watch out before pulling you over. Your frame was secured against somebody's chest.
You watched as the shelf fell, rising sand powder that, along with the people scattering, made it impossible to see.
Finally, dust settled down to the single sound of the parrot landing back on its place.
And then it hit you there was a man still holding you.
...
With a flustered squeak, you stumbled back, almost tripping over the shelf just to be caught by the hand by that boy again.
He seemed to find your realization funny.
Naturally, the first thing you did was check your veil. Once you assured it was all in place, you finally took time to size the boy up.
And boy was he rich. Dangling gold trinkets from head to toe.
This one was from noble family, that was much clear.
...
The medina was caught in quite the predicament, so much it was impossible to walk. The chaos was spread.
Of course the bandits would take advantage of everybody's distraction to make their day, and the boy, now presented as Kalim, seemed to have noticed that.
He insisted on taking you home, and, even thought you insisted he didn't need to, he insisted further saying he would no matter what.
Kind enough.
