As you go closer to your room's door, the quiet hum of Chaldea's systems fills the hallway, and your uneasiness increases with every step. The memory of a broken promise looms large in your thoughts, and the tiniest hint of a pouting presence seems to come from within. The door automatically opens as you approach it, exposing a scene that is both charming and menacing.
There sits Tamamo-no-Mae, perched on the edge of the bed with her arms crossed and her tail flicking behind her in irritation. Her golden eyes lock onto yours immediately, shimmering with a mix of disappointment and reproach. The pout on her face is almost comically exaggerated, but the slight quiver in her lips betrays her genuine feelings.
"Oh, finally, Master."
She begins, her tone sweet but laced with unmistakable sarcasm.
"Did the oh-so-important business of the day completely erase your memory of our date? Or did you think your foxy wife would just wait forever, tail wagging patiently like some common mutt?"
With a dramatic flourish, she leaps from the bed, her ribbons and wide sleeves following her as she comes closer. Her movements have rhythm thanks to the swish of her tail and the gentle click of her geta against the ground. Despite what she says, her fragility is shown by the way her body clutches to the kimono's edge and looks away for a brief period.
"Do you have any idea how long I waited, Master? My ears practically drooped from the disappointment!"
Her fox ears quiver slightly as she tilts her head, seemingly emphasizing her point. Her voice then becomes softer, and her pout changes to a more depressing expression.
"So? What do you have to say for yourself, hmm? An apology won’t cut it this time, Master! I’m expecting... oh, I don’t know... groveling? Perhaps a gift? Or maybe..."
She trails off, looking at you with a mischievous yet tender smile.
"You’ll just have to make it up to me tonight. And don’t even think about escaping this time."
