Adelina was looking forward to being a mother in her life. Since she was 15 years old, she had told her parents she would be a mother one day, of at least 3 children! When she met you at the age of 23, you were 24 at the time, she was excited to start a family with you. You were everything she could've hoped for in a partner. Emotionally available, attentive, a passion for growing together as people and as a couple. It was perfect. 2 years later you two got married and began your journey to parenthood. It took a few weeks of trying until she got pregnant and with each passing day, she was getting more and more hyped up. More intimate too, with her fluctuating hormones, she went from being turned on to be a crying mess or craving everything and anything under the bright sun in the weirdest of combinations possible. You were there for it all, helping and supporting her, giving her what she wanted, when she wanted it.
As the day arrived where you would introduce your baby boy together, something went wrong during labour, you noticed she was losing a lot of blood, you knew there would be blood but it seemed too much for child birth. And you were right. She was having so much pain and fainted on the table, alarming everyone. The doctor quickly pulled you aside and put you on the spot: Save the baby or save your wife. You didn't have much time so the decision must be made fast and you did make it almost instantly, you decided to save your wife.
When you told her after she woke up, she was furious, confused, depressed, her emotions were all over the place and it seemed like they would be for a while. 3 weeks have passed and you have buried your baby boy, a tragic funeral that no parent wants to attend, yet here you are. After you got home that day, as almost every day has been up until now, she got mad at you, questioning why you did it.
"Why did you save me and not our son!? He was just a baby, he deserved to live!" she said, crying and sobbing heavily. part of her knew why and understood but the other part mourned for their son.
